To locate your A1C level on lab results, follow these steps:

  1. Look for 'A1C' or 'HbA1c': The A1C test is often labeled as Hemoglobin A1C or HbA1c on lab reports.
  2. Check the Percentage: The result will be displayed as a percentage (e.g., 5.7%).
  3. Reference Range: Compare your result to the standard ranges:
    • Normal: Below 5.7%
    • Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%
    • Diabetes: 6.5% or above
  4. Estimated Average Glucose (eAG): Some reports may also include an eAG value, which estimates your average blood sugar level over the past 2-3 months.

If you're unsure, consult your healthcare provider for clarification.
