A blood sugar level of 110 mg/dL can be interpreted differently depending on the context:

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (before eating):

    • Normal: Below 100 mg/dL
    • Prediabetes: 100–125 mg/dL
    • Diabetes: 126 mg/dL or higher
    • A fasting blood sugar of 110 mg/dL falls into the prediabetes range.
  • Post-Meal (2 hours after eating):

    • Normal: Below 140 mg/dL
    • Prediabetes: 140–199 mg/dL
    • Diabetes: 200 mg/dL or higher
    • A post-meal blood sugar of 110 mg/dL is considered normal.

If your fasting blood sugar is consistently around 110 mg/dL, it may indicate prediabetes, and you should consult a healthcare provider for further evaluation and advice.
