Normal blood sugar levels vary depending on the time of day and whether you have eaten recently. Here are the general guidelines for normal blood sugar levels:

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (before meals): 70–99 mg/dL (3.9–5.5 mmol/L)
  • Postprandial Blood Sugar (1-2 hours after eating): Less than 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L)
  • A1C (average over 2-3 months): Below 5.7%

These values are for adults without diabetes. If you have diabetes or prediabetes, your target levels may differ, and you should consult your healthcare provider for personalized goals.
