Borderline diabetic numbers refer to blood sugar levels that are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. This condition is often referred to as prediabetes. The key ranges for prediabetes are:

  • A1C Test: 5.7% to 6.4%
  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS): 100 to 125 mg/dL
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): 140 to 199 mg/dL

If your results fall within these ranges, it indicates an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and weight management can help prevent or delay the onset of diabetes.
