  • Normal: Fasting blood glucose levels below 100 mg/dL.
  • Prediabetes: Fasting blood glucose levels between 100–125 mg/dL.
  • Diabetes: Fasting blood glucose levels of 126 mg/dL or higher on two separate tests.

Additionally, the A1C test is used to diagnose and monitor diabetes:

  • Normal: A1C below 5.7%.
