Prediabetes is diagnosed based on the following blood sugar levels:

  • A1C Test: 5.7% to 6.4%
  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS): 100 to 125 mg/dL
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): 140 to 199 mg/dL

These ranges indicate that blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. If you fall into these ranges, it's important to take steps to manage your blood sugar and reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
