Prediabetes is diagnosed when blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. The following ranges are used to diagnose prediabetes:

  • Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG): 100–125 mg/dL
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): 140–199 mg/dL after 2 hours
  • A1C Level: 5.7% to 6.4%

If your results fall within these ranges, it indicates prediabetes, and you should consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
