Normal blood sugar ranges vary depending on when you last ate. Here are the general guidelines:

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (before eating): 70–99 mg/dL (3.9–5.5 mmol/L)
  • Postprandial (2 hours after eating): Less than 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L)
  • Random Blood Sugar: Typically less than 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L)

For people with diabetes, target ranges may differ and should be determined by a healthcare provider. Regular monitoring is essential to manage blood sugar levels effectively.
