Prediabetes often has no clear symptoms, but some people may experience the following:

  • Increased Thirst: Feeling unusually thirsty even after drinking water.
  • Frequent Urination: Needing to urinate more often, especially at night.
  • Fatigue: Feeling unusually tired or lacking energy.
  • Blurred Vision: Experiencing blurred vision, which can come and go.
  • Darkened Skin: Patches of dark skin, particularly around the neck, armpits, or groin (a condition called acanthosis nigricans).

If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider for a blood test, such as the A1C test, to check your blood sugar levels.
