Diabetic numbers refer to blood glucose levels that indicate whether a person has normal blood sugar, prediabetes, or diabetes. Here’s what the numbers mean:

  • Normal: Below 5.7% (A1C) or below 100 mg/dL (fasting blood glucose). No symptoms are typically present.
  • Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4% (A1C) or 100–125 mg/dL (fasting blood glucose). Symptoms may include mild fatigue or increased thirst.
  • Diabetes: 6.5% or higher (A1C) or 126 mg/dL or higher (fasting blood glucose). Symptoms often include frequent urination, excessive thirst, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, and blurred vision.

If you experience symptoms like these, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider for proper testing and diagnosis.
