Prediabetes often doesn't have noticeable symptoms, which is why it can go undetected. However, some people may experience:

  • Increased thirst and frequent urination: High blood sugar levels can cause your body to try to flush out excess glucose through urine.
  • Fatigue: Feeling unusually tired, even after adequate rest.
  • Blurred vision: High blood sugar can affect your eyesight temporarily.
  • Slow-healing sores or frequent infections: High glucose levels can impair your immune system.

If you suspect you have prediabetes, it's important to get tested, especially if you have risk factors like being overweight, having a family history of diabetes, or being over 45 years old.
