The normal blood sugar range for adults varies depending on whether you are fasting or have recently eaten. Here are the general guidelines:

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (before eating): 70–99 mg/dL (3.9–5.5 mmol/L)
  • Postprandial Blood Sugar (2 hours after eating): Less than 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L)
