The A1C test reflects your average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, so it cannot be significantly lowered quickly. However, you can take steps to improve your blood sugar control over time:

  • Healthy Diet: Focus on low-glycemic foods, such as vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid sugary and processed foods.
  • Regular Exercise: Engage in moderate physical activity, like walking or cycling, for at least 30 minutes a day.
  • Medication Adherence: Take prescribed medications or insulin as directed by your healthcare provider.
  • Monitor Blood Sugar: Regularly check your blood sugar levels to understand how your lifestyle changes are affecting them.

For long-term A1C reduction, consult your doctor for a personalized plan. Quick fixes are not effective for A1C, as it measures long-term glucose levels.
