Pre-diabetic glucose levels indicate higher-than-normal blood sugar levels, but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. Here are the key ranges:

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS): 100–125 mg/dL
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): 140–199 mg/dL after 2 hours
  • A1C Levels: 5.7% to 6.4%

If your results fall within these ranges, you may have prediabetes, which increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise, can help manage or reverse prediabetes.
