Prediabetes often has no clear symptoms, but some people may experience the following:

  • Increased thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Fatigue
  • Blurred vision
  • Darkened skin patches, especially around the neck, armpits, or groin (a condition called acanthosis nigricans)

Since prediabetes can progress to type 2 diabetes without noticeable symptoms, it’s important to get regular check-ups, especially if you have risk factors like obesity, a family history of diabetes, or a sedentary lifestyle.
