Prediabetes is diagnosed when blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. The following ranges are used to diagnose prediabetes:

  • A1C Test: 5.7% to 6.4%
  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS): 100 to 125 mg/dL
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): 140 to 199 mg/dL

If your results fall within these ranges, it indicates prediabetes, and you should consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
