The normal A1C level is the same for both men and women. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the following ranges apply:

  • Normal: Below 5.7%
  • Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%
  • Diabetes: 6.5% or above

For most adults, including women, an A1C level below 5.7% is considered normal. However, individual targets may vary based on factors such as age, overall health, and medical history. Always consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
