A normal A1C level is generally the same for both men and women. According to the CDC and other health organizations:

  • Normal A1C: Below 5.7%
  • Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%
  • Diabetes: 6.5% or above

For most women, maintaining an A1C level below 5.7% is considered healthy. However, individual targets may vary based on factors like age, overall health, and medical history. Always consult with your healthcare provider to determine the best A1C goal for you.
